Litefeet History Pt. 4
D Cole
D Cole was the recorder of the “Golden Era” of Litefeet helped publicize the Litefeet movement.
Collaborators Knocka, Ron Browse, Cole, Webb, Mystery Man and Nino Man worked together on the his YouTube channel (DCole74).
Due to his popularity, D Cole began creating celebrity dancers on his YouTube channel.
D Cole would document everything. He was a battle rap recorder. Created “Dance or Go Home” Challenge DVD.
For this competition, he chose 40 dancers and the winner would win $5,000.
“Dance or Go Home 1” documented the first few years of Litefeet from 2005-2007.
“Dance or Go Home 2” documented the overall dance culture of NYC (with other dance styles).
Eventually D Cole Recorded the very first official Litefeet battle (“Mr. Jones vs. Ky Butta”) along with many other battles. Battles became high in demand on D Cole’s Youtube channel. In turn, D Cole decided to start his own Litefeet battle league. His first set of battles, known as the “Dust City” battles were held in The Bronx. He then started his well-known battle league known as “Battle Grounds” which was eventually renamed “Darkwarz”. These battles lasted from 2008 to 2009. During this time, Litefeet transitioned from the Golden Era to the Underground Era.
